Prologue

Stacey Montgomery is a young woman of just 18. She’s got a lot going for her right now. She just graduated from high school almost a year ago now.  She’s engaged to a wealthy man who has a dream career. Stacey is mostly a happy outgoing young woman, who loves life, and everything in hers. She goes to the local community college earning credits to go off to a university to study psychology. Her fiancé, Chad DeLonge, is paying for her college. What could make her life better? She has a man who loves her more than anything, she has classes at school that she wouldn’t trade for anything, she was close to her family and friends. What more was there to life?
Since they were to wed in April of next year, Chad had agreed to buy a beautiful house that Stacey would fix up and decorate within that year, for them to live in. Stacey and Chad’s relationship has now lasted almost one and a half years. They were the perfect couple. He was wealthy and came from a good background, she was wise beyond her years and was more loving and caring then anyone could imagine. So much goodness, but there must be something hiding in the shadows of their pasts. And if you have thought this; then congratulate yourself. For you’re right; there is something that is not only present in their past. But it haunts them both, and others as well.
Stacey and Chad haven’t always been faithful to one another. Stacey was in love once before, and Chad was broken hearted many times before he met Stacey. There was another thing that could have made Stacey’s life perfect, but she wouldn’t have changed it for the world. You see, in this past November, she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. This baby boy was Stacey’s pride and joy, she loved him more than life itself. She even thought sometimes that she loved the boy more than Chad.
When Stacey was seven months pregnant Chad and her were trying to agree on a name together. Stacey was in love with Nicholas Michael, but Chad thought that it wasn’t appropriate for his first born son. So they named him Michael Nicholas. But Stacey had a secret still, the baby boy that Chad took so much pride in knowing that it was his first boy, was in fact, not his.
No, it was the baby of Stacey’s first love. The love that she had forgotten so long ago; they still talk and are still friends and what not, but the love is gone. It disappeared many months ago. And Stacey was almost positive that it would never return. There’s more to this, and that’s what these pages entail. The life of Stacey Montgomery is not a tragedy but not a joyful one, she lost love, and many other things. She gained love and many other things. But there is one more secret that the characters all hold deep in their veins and pumps through their blood. What is this secret? If I told you now, it wouldn’t be much of a story, now would it.
